About Me

I am a Research Mechanical Engineer at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). In this position, I act as the Resilience Optimization (RO) Lead and the Resilience Analysis Lead of the Modeling, Simulation, and Visualization (MSV) team. My work contributes to the development of a toolbox that produces actionable analytics for installation and community power projects. I developed the Analysis of Microgrid Performance, Reliability, and Resilience (AMPeRRe) Computational Model, which provides decision-makers with quantitative results on the reliability and resilience of power systems to inform power resource investment decisions. I have also developed optimization capabilities to determine the set of power resources such as solar, wind, generators, and battery energy storage that would maximize the reliability and resilience of a planned power system. My education includes a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Business from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). I am currently pursuing a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering part-time and completing my thesis with the Energy Transport Research Lab at UIUC.
