U.S. Army Corps of Engineers | February 2022 - Present
Research Mechanical Engineer
Created a set of standards and methods to determine the reliability and efficiency of integrated energy systems. This set includes comprehensive procedures to evaluate and optimize the viability of these proposed energy systems for USACE facilities. Through this work, I ensure that USACE facilities can transition to high renewable energy systems while maintaining good performance.
Marine Turbine Blade Research Project | January 2022 - May 2022
Undergraduate Researcher
Evaluated composite material configurations to identify those most compatible with turbine blade operating conditions. Conducted material property calculations, finite element analysis and simulation, and multiple forms of failure testing.
Cummins | June 2021 - December 2021
Systems Performance Engineering Co-op
Investigated failures of components and implemented redesigns to solve the determined failure mode. Completed multiple design projects and made quality-related changes to improve Cummins’ engine products. Through all the design changes made from my work, I generated a total annual cost savings of $112,575.40 in product costs and prevented warranty costs.

Engineering Intern
Organized data, tested products, and analyzed the connection quality of consumer Comcast products. In the engineering department, I assisted in forming new cable networks to provide connection to more customers in the engineering department. IÂ analyzed the function of router, cable and server components while working with an engineer to evaluate their quality.

Mathematics and Reading Tutor
Ensured that students of many ages learned and practiced crucial concepts in the subjects of math and reading. I graded the work completed by students, oversaw students to keep them on track, and evaluated each student's progress. This consistently involved working with 5 or more students at once at any given time.

Interagency Advanced Power Group Renewable Energy Conversion Working Group | May 2023 - Present
Working Group Member
Participated in working group meetings as a representative of USACE to exchange ideas and work alongside other teams. Collaborated with other government agencies on research projects that develop renewable energy in operational spaces.
Illinois Climate Action Plan (iCap) Education Team | August 2021 - December 2022
Chair
Create policy to implement the goals of the iCap at our University with a particular focus on sustainability education. Collaborate with other team members to determine the steps needed to accomplish these University-wide goals.

Create resolutions and facilitate action on behalf of the Illinois Student Government to address issues and areas of need for students, the university, and the community as a whole.

Outreach Committee Event Chair
Planned, coordinated, and led the organization’s monthly StepUP event, an interactive program with the purpose of introducing middle schoolers to potential careers in science, technology, mathematics, and engineering.
